GEO_OCEANO AB-3000 Oceanographic Winch

Description

The GEO_OCEANO AB-3000 is an electric traction winch for launch and recovery systems (LARS). Its drive train combines a 25 hp three-phase induction motor coupled to a helical bevel gear reducer and a robust dual-supported cable spooler synchronized with the drum, with manual override. Drive, starting and speed control via frequency inverter, with dynamic braking through IGBT and dissipative resistors.

It incorporates the LOCKFIRE mechanical drum-locking system — additional safety beyond the electromagnetic brake for critical events and extended moorings. A rotating termination box and easily accessible slip ring complete the electrical interconnection with the payload. Ships with 3,500 m of Ø 11.4 mm electromechanical cable, certified shackles and slings; every unit is tested unloaded and under static and dynamic load.
