Description

Mobilizing research, survey and intervention vessels involves dozens of suppliers, electrical and mechanical interfaces, port windows and class requirements — a scenario where delays are expensive. Abyss manages mobilization as an independent project, applying PMBoK/PMI methodology: scope, schedule, cost, quality and risk formally controlled.

The multidisciplinary team — instrumentation, electro-electronics, mechanics and seamanship — installs and commissions LARS systems (winches, A-frames, sheaves), oceanographic instrumentation and data networks, with 24/7 service at any port. Every delivery includes commissioning documentation and acceptance tests at quay and at sea.

Service scope

  • Mobilization of survey, research and intervention vessels.
  • LARS installation: winches, A-frames and sheaves.
  • Commissioning of instrumentation and data acquisition networks.
  • Formal management of schedule, cost, quality and risk (PMBoK/PMI).
  • Interface with shipyard, class and international suppliers.
  • 24/7 service at any port.

Frequently asked questions

What does managing mobilization as a project mean?
Scope, schedule, cost, quality and risk are formally planned and controlled per PMBoK/PMI, with a single owner accountable for delivery — instead of a sum of loose services with no owner.
Do you work at any port?
Yes. The team operates 24/7 at any port, in Brazil or abroad, according to the vessel's window.
Which systems do you install and commission?
Launch and recovery systems (winches, A-frames, sheaves), oceanographic and meteorological instrumentation, data acquisition and telemetry networks.
