RipEX2-HS combines two standard RipEX2 units and a controller in a 19″ 3U rack chassis, each unit with its own power supply. If the active unit fails, the controller switches interfaces and antenna to the standby unit in under 2 s with no reconfiguration, since both share the same MAC address. It is designed for control centres, key repeaters and critical sites — such as those serving platforms and terminals — where a single point of failure is not acceptable.
